The Podium at Porsche River Oaks was sparkling on a Thursday night in early February for Porsches, Precious Gemstones, and Premies. The charity event hosted by Porsche River Oaks helped raise money for March of Dimes — a nonprofit organization working to improve the health of mothers and babies. River Oaks — home to our Houston Porsche Center — was abuzz during this fun-filled and impactful evening of charitable community outreach.
Porsches, Precious Gemstones, and Premies Charity Event in February Raises Money for March of Dimes
More than 100 fans, friends, supporters, and clients gathered on February 8 to raise money for March of Dimes and bring awareness to the impactful nonprofit organization. This event demonstrates Porsche River Oaks' commitment to being a strong charitable community partner throughout Houston.
Specialty Raffle Drawing Benefits March of Dimes
The biggest part of Porsches, Precious Gemstones, and Premies was the specialty raffle drawing benefitting March of Dimes. This brought in over $5,000 for the following items:
- 1. Garnet & Diamond Dangle Earrings from Valobra Master Jewelers
- 2. Porsche Signature Luggage and a Porsche for the Weekend
Specialty Cocktails, Savory Bites & Fine Jewelry
In addition to brand new Porsche models, the shining charity event saw Valobra Master Jewelers' show-stopping pieces of diamonds, rubies, garnets, and other fine jewelry. Complementing the bling was a roaming photo booth, specialty cocktails and other signature drinks, and Contemporary-Asian fusion bites from Monarch Hospitality. DJ Johnny Bravo, meanwhile, entertained the crowd.

Healthy moms. Strong babies. That's what March of Dimes is all about. The organization makes efforts to help improve the health of all moms and babies and combat the urgent maternal and infant health crisis in the U.S.
March of Dimes needs partners and supporters — including Porsche River Oaks and Porsche enthusiasts from League City, Pearland, and all of Houston — to help end preventable maternal health risks, birth defects, death, and preterm birth. There is also the goal to close the health equity gap for every family.
What the Funds Are Used For
Funds from the Porsche River Oaks March of Dimes charity event and other fundraising events are invested in innovative research to improve outcomes for moms and babies. March of Dimes also helps families by providing resources, professionals, and learning opportunities. Additional efforts include advocating for policies and legislation that prioritize the health of mothers and babies.
